Old Faithful!

Got to Old Faithful just in time to miss it...but since we were here, we figured we might as well wait around and make sure we saw it go off. It worked out well because Keith wanted to show us the old lodge which was designed after the childhood fantasy tree house of the architect! The space was beautiful with balcony on 4 sides of a 4 story open space which includes a huge stone fireplace!

We spent a good hour just staring at the engineering of the steeply sloping roof, the beams and columns made of tree trunks stacked one atop the other.

The pictures just can't do it justice...The crow's nest was what he called the highest part, which even went out on the roof. It was closed off or my adventurous self would surely have been out there in the freezing winds :)

The levels up to the crow's nest.

Adam and Me enjoying the heat of the fireplace after he and Keith were done girl-chasing.

Finally, it was 7:15 and time for Old Faithful to be...faithful.

It started snowing. Keith was still wearing flip-flops. Adam ran to the car to get the blanket, couldn't find it, and came running back just in time. I think it's colder here than in Buffalo.
We came, we saw Yellowstone, and it was time to peace out!
